Cole Hocker, Sam Prakel, Cooper Teare all advance to men's 5,000 final

In the slower first heat of the men's 5,000-meter semifinals, Cole Hocker won in 13 minutes, 33.45 seconds looking to double qualify after winning the 1,500 earlier this week. He will be joined by fellow former Ducks Cooper Teare (13:34.07) and Sam Prakel (13:25.01) after Teare finished third in Hocker's heat, and Prakel finished fifth in a much faster second heat.

Grant Fisher had the third fastest time in 13:24.78 after winning the 10,000 earlier this week, and Woody Kincaid had the top overall time in the semifinals in 13:23.91.

Noah Lyles, Erriyon Knighton, Courtney Lindsey finish with top times in 200 prelims

In an effortless display, top American sprinter Noah Lyles finished with the top time in the men's 200 prelims in 20.10 seconds, qualifying for the semifinals later this week.

Erriyon Knighton ran a season-best 20.15, and Courtney Lindsey qualified in 20.28 seconds.

Oregon alum Kyree King finished second in his heat and qualified in 20.50 seconds.

Valerie Constien leads the way as nine run under Olympic standard in heated 3,000 steeplechase final

In a meet record 9 minutes, 3.22 seconds, Valerie Constien won the women's 3,000 steeplechase final and will advance to Paris.

Courtney Wayment (9:06.50) and Marisa Howard (9:07.14) will also advance after finishing second and third, respectively.

In total, nine runners in the race ran under the Olympic standard, and nine recorded personal bests. Former Oregon State standout and native Oregonian Kaylee Mitchell finished fifth in 9:14.05, a near seven-second PB.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone makes triumphant return to Hayward Field in women's 400 hurdles

Competing for just the second time this year in the 400 hurdles, two-time Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone easily advanced to the semifinals with the best preliminary time in 53.07 seconds.

Anna co*ckrell (54.71 seconds) and Shamier Little (54.93 seconds) finished second and third.

Oregon State's Kate Sorensen finished sixth in her heat in 59.04 seconds, but didn't qualify for the semifinals.

All throwers with Olympic standard advance to men's discus final

All four throwers with the Olympic standard in the men's discus advanced to the final later this week, with Reggie Jagers throwing the top mark: 214 feet, 11 inches. Andrew Evans tossed 214 feet, 3 inches, Marcus Gustaveson threw 206 feet, 11 inches, and Joseph Brown uncorked a 203-foot, 11-inch best toss.

Collegians run fastest 400 hurdles times, Rai Benjamin and CJ Allen also advance to semifinals

In the first round of men's 400 hurdles, collegians Caleb Dean (Texas Tech) and Chris Robinson (Alabama) led the way, winning both of their heats in 49.45 and 49.54 seconds, respectively, to finish with the top two times of the preliminary round. Rai Benjamin won his heat, but had the third fastest time in 49.56 seconds.

CJ Allen also qualified for the final in 50.08 seconds and Trevor Bassitt won his heat in 50.29 seconds with the eighth-fastest time overall.

Tara Davis-Woodhall needs just one jump to advance to women's long jump final

Leaping 22 feet, 9 inches on just her first attempt, Tara Davis-Woodhall left it there to advance to the women's long jump final later in the week.

Jasmine Moore jumped 22 feet, 8 1/2 inches to finish with the second best mark in the first round.

Sha'Carri Richardson easily advances into 200 semifinals

Running a season best 21.99 seconds, and even pulling up over the final 50 meters, Sha'Carri Richardson was in peak form again after winning the 100-meter title earlier this week.

Oregon standout Jadyn Mays also will move on to the semifinals Friday, finishing second in her heat in 22.50, and former Duck Jenna Prandini finished second in her heat in 22.58, a season best, to advance.

Elle St. Pierre finishes with top time in women's 1,500 prelims

Doubling down from her 5,000-meter win Monday, Elle St. Pierre finished with the top time during the women's 1,500 prelims Thursday in 4 minutes, 6.41 seconds.

Emily Mackay (4:06.47) and Dani Jones (4:07.02) are other notable semifinal advancers.

Grant Holloway cruises into 110 hurdles final

Finishing with the top time in the men's 110-meter hurdles semifinals, Grant Holloway easily advanced to the finals in 12.96 seconds. Daniel Roberts (13.11) and Freddie Crittenden (13.05) also moved on to the final.

Olympic bronze medalist Clayton Murphy moves on to 800-meter semifinals

Finishing first in third heat, Olympic bronze medalist Clayton Murphy qualified for the men's 800-meter semifinals in one minute, 47.05 seconds. He'll be joined by Bryce Hoppel (1:46.83) and Sam Whitmarsh, who had the top time in the prelims in 1:46.13, in the semifinals.

Former Oregon athlete Matt Wisner ran a personal best 1:46.95 in the fourth heat, finishing sixth to move on to the semis.
